케임브릿지 사전은 'take'를 "a particular feeling, opinion, or reaction(특정한 느낌, 의견, 또는 반응)"이라고 정의했다.

"What’s your take on the new proposals for new health care?(의료 서비스에 대해 새로운 제안안을 어떻게 보십니까?)"

콜린스 사전은 'take'를 이렇게 설명했다. "Someone's take on a particular situation or fact is their attitude to it or their interpretation of it(특정한 상황 또는 사실에 대한 누군가의 take는 그것에 대한 태도 또는 해석이다)."

"What's your take on the new government? Do you think it can work?(새 정부에 대해 어떻게 생각하시나요? 잘될 거라고 보시나요?)"

"That sort of thing gives you a different take on who you are(그런 일은 자신에 대해 다르게 보게 만든다)." 

맥밀란 사전은 'take'를 "a distinct or personal point of view, outlook, or assessment(뚜렷하거나 개인적인 관점, 전망, 또는 평가)"라고 풀이했다.
