케임브릿지 사전은 'procession'을 "a line of people who are all walking or travelling in the same direction, especially in a formal way as part of a religious ceremony or public celebration(같은 방향으로 같이 걷거나 움직이는 사람들의 줄, 특히 종교적 의식이나 대중적 기념 행사의 일부로서 격식을 차려 그렇게 하는 것)"이라고 정의했다.
