케임브릿지 사전은 'wear thin'을 이렇게 정의했다. "If your patience wears thin, you become less and less patient(인내심이 wear thin 하다면, 점차 인내심이 바닥나는 것이다)"

"I've warned you several times about being late and my patience is wearing thin(나는 네가 늦는 것에 관해 여러 번 경고했고, 내 인내심은 바닥나는 중이다)."
