케임브릿지 사전은 'hobble'을 "to walk in an awkward way, usually because the feet or legs are injured(대체로 발이나 다리에 부상을 입어서 불편하게 걷다)"라고 정의했다.

"The last time I saw Rachel she was hobbling around with a stick(내가 마지막으로 레이첼을 봤을 때 그녀는 지팡이를 짚고 다리를 절고 있었다)."
