케임브릿지 사전은 'extraordinaire'를 "used to say that someone is very good at the activity mentioned. Extraordinaire is French for "extraordinary"(어떤 사람이 바로 그 언급된 활동을 아주 잘한다는 것을 뜻하기 위해 쓰는 말. extraordinaire는 프랑스어로 'exraordinary(탁월한)'이라는 뜻이다)"라고 정의했다.
