케임브릿지 사전은 'recrimination'을 "arguments between people who are blaming each other(서로를 비난하는 사람들 사이의 논쟁들)"라고 정의했다.

"The peace talks broke down and ended in bitter mutual recrimination(s)(평화 회담은 실패했고 씁쓸한 상호 비난으로 끝이 났다)."

메리암웹스터 사전은 'recrimination'을 "an angry statement in which you accuse or criticize a person who has accused or criticized you(당신을 고발하거나 비판한 사람을 당신이 고발하거나 비판하는, 화를 내며 하는 발언)"라고 설명했다.
