케임브릿지 사전은 'consecrated'를 이렇게 정의했다. "Something that has been consecrated has been made holy and is able to be used for religious ceremonies(consecrated한 것은, 성스럽게 만들어지고 종교 의식에 사용할 수 있는 것이다)"
