[영어 공부] unformed(충분히 발달되지 않은, 다 형성되지 않은)

 

콜린스 사전은 'unformed'를 이렇게 정의했다. "If you describe someone or something as unformed, you mean that they are in an early stage of development and are not fully formed or matured(어떤 사람 또는 사물을 unformed라고 묘사한다면, 그것이 발달의 초기 단계에 있으며 완전히 형성되거나 성숙하지 않았다는 뜻이다)." 격식을 차린(formal) 표현이다.

"The market for which they are competing is still unformed(그들이 경쟁하는 시장은 아직 충분히 형성되지 않았다)." 

"...the unformed minds of children(...아직 완전히 발달하지 않은 아이들의 정신)." 

옥스퍼드 학습자 사전은 'unformed'를 "not fully developed(완전히 발달하지 않은)"라고 설명했다.

"unformed ideas(완전히 형성되지 않은 아이디어들)"

롱맨 사전은 'unformed'를 "not yet developed(아직 발달하지 않은)"라고 풀이했다.

"the unformed mind of a child(아직 완전히 발달하지 않은 아이들의 정신)"
