케임브릿지 사전은 'recrimination'을 "arguments between people who are blaming each other(서로를 비난하는 사람들 사이의 말다툼)"라고 정의했다.

"The peace talks broke down and ended in bitter mutual recrimination(s)(그 평화 회담은 결렬되고 격한 상호 비난으로 끝이 났다)."

콜린스 사전은 'recrimination'을 이렇게 설명했다. "Recriminations are accusations that two people or groups make about each other(recrimination은 두 사람 또는 그룹이 서로에 대해 하는 비난이다)."

"The bitter rows and recriminations have finally ended the relationship(격한 언쟁과 비난 때문에 그 관계는 끝이 났다)."
