케임브릿지 사전은 'together'를 "organized, confident of your abilities, and able to use them to achieve what you want(조직적이고, 자신의 능력에 자신감이 있으며, 자신이 원하는 것을 성취하기 위해 그 능력들을 쓸 수 있는)"라고 정의했다.

"For a sixteen-year-old, he seems pretty together(16살짜리치고 그는 꽤 확신에 찬 것 같아 보인다)."

콜린스 사전은 'together'를 이렇게 설명했다. "If you describe someone as together, you admire them because they are very confident, organized, and know what they want(어떤 사람을 together라고 묘사한다면, 그들이 아주 자신감이 있고, 조직적이며, 자신이 원하는 것을 알기 때문에 감탄하는 것이다)." 인포멀(informal)하고 긍정적인(approval) 뉘앙스이다.

"She was very headstrong, and very together(그녀는 아주 고집이 세고, 아주 확신에 넘쳤다)." 

"I know on the surface I appear to be quite a together person(나는 표면적으로 내가 아주 확신에 찬 사람으로 보인다는 걸 안다)."

맥밀란 사전은 'together'를 "confident, sensible, and clear about what you are doing(자신감 있고, 분별력 있으며, 자신이 무엇을 하는지 명확히 아는)"이라고 풀이했다.

"Jim’s a really together person(짐은 아주 스스로에 관한 확신을 가진 사람이다)."
