케임브릿지 사전은 'in the wind'를 이렇게 정의했다. "If something is in the wind, people are talking about it and it may happen, but no one is sure(어떤 것이 in the wind 하다면, 사람들이 그것에 대해 이야기하고, 일어날지도 모르지만, 아무도 확신하지 못하는 것이다)."
