케임브릿지 사전은 'round on someone'을 "to criticize someone who has criticized you(당신을 비판한 사람을 비판하다)"라고 정의했다.

"The mayor rounded on his critics with a very forceful speech(시장은 아주 단호한 연설로 그의 비평가들을 비판했다)."

콜린스 사전은 'round on someone'을 이렇게 설명했다. "If someone rounds on you, they criticize you fiercely and attack you with aggressive words(어떤 사람이 round on you 한다면, 그들이 당신을 격렬하게 비판하고 공격적인 말로 공격하는 것이다)."
