어딜 가나 빙다리 핫바지, 호구를 가리키는 단어는 존재하는 듯하다... 영어로는 'pushover'.

케임브릿지 사전은 'pushover'를 "something that is easy to do or to win, or someone who is easily persuaded or influenced or defeated(하거나 이기기 쉬운 것, 또는 쉽게 설득되거나 영향받거나 이길 수 있는 사람)"라고 정의했다.

"The interview was an absolute pushover(그 인터뷰는 완전히 식은 죽 먹기였다)."

"Jean will look after Harry, I'm quite sure - she's a pushover for babies (= will do anything for them).(진이 해리를 돌볼 거야. 완전히 확신해. 그녀는 아기라면 껌뻑 죽거든)"

콜린스 사전은 'pushover'를 이렇게 설명했다. "You say that someone is a pushover when you find it easy to persuade them to do what you want(당신이 원하는 일을 하라고 설득하기 쉬운 상대를 pushover라고 한다)." 인포멀(informal)한 표현이다.

"He is a tough negotiator. We did not expect to find him a pushover and he has not been one(그는 협상하기 어려운 상대이다. 우리는 그가 호구라고 생각하지도 않고 실제로도 그렇게 군 적이 없다)."

맥밀란 사전은 'pushover'를 "someone who is easy to influence or persuade, or an opponent who is easy to defeat(영향을 끼치거나 설득하기 쉬운 사람, 또는 이기기 쉬운 대상)이라고 풀이했다.

"Colonel Moore was a kind and sympathetic man, but no pushover(무어 대령은 친절하고 동정심이 많은 남자였지만, 호구는 아니었다)."
