케임브릿지 사전은 'squeaky clean'을 이렇게 정의했다. "Someone who is squeaky-clean is completely good and honest and never does anything bad(squeaky-clean한 사람은 완전히 선하고 정직하며 나쁜 일을 절대 하지 않는 사람이다)"

"Journalists have been trying to discover if the senator really is as squeaky-clean as he claims to be(저널리스트들은 그 상원의원이 정말로 본인 주장대로 털어서 먼지 하나 안 나는 사람인지 찾아내려고 노력 중이다)."

콜린스 사전은 'squeaky clean'을 이렇게 설명했다. "If you say that someone is squeaky clean, you mean that they live a very moral life and have never done anything wrong(어떤 사람이 squeaky clean하다고 말한다면, 그들이 아주 도덕적인 삶을 살고 잘못된 일을 절대 하지 않았다는 뜻이다)." 인포멀(informal)한 표현이다.

"Maybe this guy isn't so squeaky clean after all(이 사람은 어쩌면 그렇게 도덕적으로 완벽한 사람이 아닐지도 모른다)."

"...his desire to foster a squeaky-clean image(...도덕적으로 나무랄 데 없다는 이미지를 키우고 싶은 그의 욕구)." 

맥밀란 사전은 'squeaky clean'을 "always behaving in a completely moral and honest way(언제나 완전히 도덕적이고 정직하게 행동하는)"라고 풀이했다.

"He has lost his squeaky clean image(그는 그의 도덕적으로 흠잡을 데 없다는 이미지를 잃었다)."
