케임브릿지 사전은 'laundry list'를 "a long list of subjects(사물들의 긴 목록)"라고 정의했다.

"It wasn't much of a speech - just a laundry list of accusations against the government(그건 별로 연설이라기보다는 정부에 대한 혐의의 긴 목록에 가까웠다)."

콜린스 사전은 'laundry list'를 이렇게 설명했다. "If you describe something as a laundry list of things, you mean that it is a long list of them(어떤 것을 사물의 laundry list라고 표현한다면, 그것이 그 사물들을 포함한 긴 목록이라는 뜻이다)."
