케임브릿지 사전은 'ream'을 "a lot of something, especially writing(어떤 것, 특히 글이 많은 것)"이라고 정의했다.

 

"She's written reams of poetry(그는 시를 아주 많이 썼다)."

콜린스 사전은 'ream'을 이렇게 설명했다. "If you say that there are reams of paper or reams of writing, you mean that there are large amounts of it(종이의 reams, 또는 글의 reams가 있다고 한다면, 그것이 많은 양으로 존재한단은 뜻이다)."
