케임브릿지 사전은 'colourway'를 "a combination of colours or one particular colour in which something such as clothing, cloth, or paper is made, or in which a place is decorated(옷이나 천, 종이들이 만들어지는, 또는 장소가 장식되는 색깔의 조합 또는 특정한 한 가지 색깔)"라고 정의했다.

"The jumpers are available in two colourways: grey/pink or blue/white(그 점퍼는 회색/분홍색과 파랑/흰색, 두 가지 색깔이 나와 있다.)."
