케임브릿지 사전은 'roadworthy'를 "(of a vehicle) in good enough condition to be driven without danger((차량이) 위험하지 않게 운전할 수 있는, 괜찮은 상태에 있는)"라고 정의했다.

롱맨 사전은 'roadworthy'를 이렇게 설명했다. "a vehicle that is roadworthy is in good condition and safe enough to drive(roadworthy한 차량은 괜찮은 상태에 있으며 운전하기에 안전한 것이다)"
