케임브릿지 사전은 'swan'을 "to travel, move, or behave in a relaxed way for pleasure and without worrying that others may feel annoyed(다른 사람들이 짜증 날 정도로, 편안하고 재미를 위해, 걱정 없이 여행하거나, 돌아다니거나, 행동하다)"라고 정의했다.

"She swanned into the room, carrying a glass of wine, taking no notice of the fact that she'd kept us all waiting for hours(그녀는 포도주 잔을 들고, 자신이 우리를 몇 시간이고 기다리게 만들었다는 사실도 눈치 채지 못하고, 방 안을 유유자적하며 돌아다녔다)."
