케임브릿지 사전은 'jam'을 "to push something forcefully or with difficulty into something else(어떤 것을 다른 것 안으로 힘을 주어 또는 애써서 밀어넣다)"라고 정의했다.

"He jammed the boxes into the back of the car(그는 차 뒤에 상자들을 욱여넣었다)."

콜린스 사전은 'jam'을 이렇게 설명했다. "If you jam something somewhere, you push or put it there roughly(어떤 것을 어딘가에 jam한다면, 그것을 거칠게 밀거나 넣는 것이다)."
