케임브릿지 사전은 'be loaded down with sth'을 "to have too much to carry, or too much work to do(들기에 너무 많거나, 일하기에 너무 많이 가지다)"라고 정의했다.

"I was loaded down with shopping(나는 쇼핑한 물건을 잔뜩 들었다)."

콜린스 사전은 'load down'을 이렇게 설명했다. "If you load someone down with things, especially heavy things, you give them a large number of them or put a large number of them on them(어떤 사람을 물건으로 load down 한다면, 특히 무거운 것들로 그렇게 한다면, 그것들을 많이 그들에게 주거나 그것들을 많이 그들에게 지우는 것이다)."
