케임브릿지 사전은 'unrepentant'를 "not repentant (= feeling sorry for something that you have done)(후회하지(=당신이 한 일에 부끄러워하지) 않는"라고 정의했다.

콜린스 사전은 'unrepentant'를 이렇게 설명했다. "If you are unrepentant, you are not ashamed of your beliefs or actions(unrepentant하다면, 당신의 믿음이나 행동을 부끄러워하지 않는 것이다)."

"Pamela was unrepentant about her strong language and abrasive remarks(파멜라는 상스러운 언어와 거친 발언에 대해 부끄러워하지 않았다)."

"...unrepentant defenders of the death penalty(...수치스러워하지 않는, 사형제 옹호자들)." 

​옥스퍼드 학습자 사전은 'unrepentant'를 "showing no shame about your actions or beliefs(당신의 행동이나 믿음에 대해 부끄러움을 보이지 않는)"라고 풀이했다.
