케임브릿지 사전은 'officiant'를 "someone who performs the ceremony at a funeral, wedding (= an event at which two people get married), etc.(장례식, 결혼식(두 사람이 결혼을 올리는 행사), 등의 행사를 진행하는 사람)"라고 정의했다.
