케임브릿지 사전은 'come into'를 이렇게 정의했다. "If someone comes into money, property, or a title, they receive it as a result of the death of a relation(어떤 사람이 돈, 재산, 또는 작위를 comes into 한다면, 친척이 사망한 결과로 그것을 받는 것이다)"

"She came into a bit of money when her grandfather died(그녀는 조부가 돌아가셨을 때 돈을 조금 물려받았다)."

콜린스 사전은 'come into'를 이렇게 설명했다. "If someone comes into some money, some property, or a title, they inherit it(어떤 사람이나 돈이나 재산, 또는 작위를 come into 하면, 그것을 물려받는 것이다)."

"My father has just come into a fortune in diamonds(우리 아버지는 최근에 거금을 다이아몬드로 물려받으셨다)."
