케임브릿지 사전은 'barge in'을 "to walk into a room quickly, without being invited(초대받지 않고 재빨리 방 안에 걸어 들어오다)"라고 정의했다.

"I wish he'd knock instead of just barging in(그가 불쑥 방에 들어오는 대신에 노크를 했으면 좋겠어)."

"She barged in on me when I was in the bathroom(그녀는 내가 화장실에 있을 때 벌컥 문을 열고 들어왔다)."

"Suddenly two men barged in to the room(갑자기 두 남자가 방에 쳐들어왔다)."

콜린스 사전은 'barge in'을 이렇게 설명했다. "If you barge in or barge in on someone, you rudely interrupt what they are doing or saying(barge in 하거나 누구에게 barge in 한다면, 그들이 무엇을 하거나 말하고 있을 때 무례하게 끼어드는 것이다)." 인포멀(informal)한 표현이다.

"I'm sorry to barge in like this, but I have a problem I hope you can solve(이렇게 끼어들어 미안하지만, 당신이 해결해 주었으면 하는 문제가 있어요)." 

맥밀란 사전은 'barge in'을 "to enter a room suddenly and noisily, usually interrupting someone in a rude way(대개 무례하게 누구의 말에 끼어들면서 갑자기, 그리고 시끄럽게 방 안에 들어오다)"라고 풀이했다.

"The kids just barge in without knocking(아이들은 노크도 하지 않고 그냥 쳐들어왔다)."

"He just barged in on us in the middle of a meeting(그는 미팅 중간에 우리 회의실에 불쑥 들어왔다)."
