케임브릿지 사전은 'conduit'을 "someone or something that provides a way of passing something such as information or payments from one person to another(정보나 지불금을 한 사람에게서 다른 사람으로 전달하는 방법을 제공하는 어떤 사람 또는 사물)"라고 정의했다.
