케임브릿지 사전은 'sprawl'을 "to spread the arms and legs out carelessly and untidily while sitting or lying down(앉거나 누울 때 팔다리를 아무렇게나 단정치 못하게 벌리다)"이라고 정의했다.

"I knocked into her in the corridor and sent her sprawling(나는 복도에서 그녀와 부딪혀서 그녀가 벌러덩 쓰러지게 만들었다)."
