케임브릿지 사전은 'glibness'를 "the quality of being confident, but too simple and lacking in careful thought(자신감이 넘치지만, 아주 단순하고 조심스러운 생각이 부족한 자질)"이라고 정의했다.

"The author's writing has a glibness that sometimes passes as wit(저자의 글쓰기는 때로 위트로 받아들여지는 입심이 있다)."

"Her argument was one of polished glibness(그녀의 주장은 우아한 입심의 것이었다)."

콜린스 사전은 'glibness'를 "the quality of being fluent and easy, often in an insincere or deceptive way(대개 진실되지 못하거나 기만적인, 유창하고 편한 자질)"라고 설명했다.
