케임브릿지 사전은 'rundown'을 "a detailed report(자세한 보고)"라고 정의했다.

"Here's a rundown on/of the activities of our ten biggest competitors(우리의 가장 큰 경쟁사들 열 곳의 활동에 대한 세부 사항이 여기 있습니다)."

콜린스 사전은 'rundown'을 이렇게 설명했다. "If you give someone a run-down of a group of things or a run-down on something, you give them details about it(누군가에게 어떤 사물의 무리가 어떤 것에 대한 run-down을 준다면, 그에 대한 세부 사항을 알려 주는 것이다)." 인포멀(informal)한 표현이다.

"Here's a rundown of the options(선택지는 이렇습니다)."

"This full-colour supplement includes full race details, plus a comprehensive run-down on all the British hopefuls(풀컬러 보충 자료는 영국에 희망을 가진 사람들의 총체적인 세부 사항을 포함해 모든 인종적인 세부 사항을 포함한다)."

맥밀란 사전은 'rundown'을 "a short description or explanation of something(어떤 것에 대한 짧은 묘사나 설명)"이라고 풀이했다.

"Can you give us a rundown of the main points?(저희에게 주요 쟁점을 설명해 주실 수 있나요?)"
