케임브릿지 사전은 'rendition'을 "a particular way of performing a song, piece of music, or poem(노래, 음악, 또는 시를 공연하는 특정한 방식)"이라고 정의했다.

"She ended the concert with a powerful rendition of "I Will Always Love You"(그녀는 그 콘서트를 힘차게 "I Will Always Love You"를 부르며 끝냈다)."

콜린스 사전은 'rendition'을 이렇게 설명했다. "A rendition of a play, poem, or piece of music is a performance of it(연극, 시, 또는 음악의 rendition은 그것을 공연하는 것이다)."
