케임브릿지 사전은 'kit out'을 "to supply someone or something with the clothes or equipment that are needed for a particular purpose(어떤 사람 또는 사물에게, 특정한 목적을 위해 필요한 옷이나 장비를 갖추어 주다)"라고 정의했다.

"They went shopping to get kitted out for the trip(그들은 여행 장비를 갖추어 쇼핑하러 갓다)."
